You've bought your plane tickets, paid for your hotel rooms, paid for and finished making tours or cruise arrangements and you then have a medical emergency or a death in the family before your trip! 

Or you have paid for your family's vacation in full and your tour operator unexpectedly files for bankruptcy or there's an airline or transportation strike.

Have your bags ever been lost or stolen or maybe not shown up or have been delayed?  The US Department of  Transportation reports that in the year 2000 there were over 2.7 million baggage complaints in the USA alone!

Has your flight been canceled or delayed due to bad weather? Again, the US DOT reports that in 2000 only 62% of flights arrived on time!
